I will look at the MKS-30 next year as it is a rather capable unit and a nice mix of the 3P & 106. I have a couple of projects on the go but if they don't stop being a PITA they will get shelved. There is a tendency to make each new upgrade more complex than the last and I think I need to reverse that as it is becoming too hard to develop them. The K106 is a prime example as we spent an entire year putting in some really cool hoopy stuff that AFAIK nobody is even using.
The K3P will be around for a bit yet as it is proving a little difficult to stop. Since the announcement sales have gone from nothing to the point it is worthwhile to continue making it. I will review it again in the new year. After that it will need to be in batches when there are sufficient orders for a batch.
The upload process is fairly robust as long as the bootloader is ok. You can recover from most file sending issues.

Thanks, Murray.
I'd rather not brick my PE, especially after nearly bricking my Kiwi-3P earlier today. Midi-OX ran into a buffer overflow in the middle of an upgrade (thankfully not during the bootloader upload!). Had to change my shorts afterward. :-)
Does this mean a Kiwi MKS-30 upgrade is off the books? I was considering Johannes' upgrade but I held off in case there was a Kiwi one in the works.
Last question: Roughly how many 3P upgrades are left? I've indicated to a few friends that they better move fast if they were considering an upgrade, and I might pick up another 3P to upgrade if one comes my way for cheap.
