If I understand it correctly I'm not sure I really like that combination. Sometimes you want a sound to have some 'basic' modulation of f.e. the DCO, which you want to be able to intensify with the mod wheel. If you combine the DCO LFO Mod amount in the way you propose, that would not be possible anymore, resulting in more static sounds when not using the Modwheel. It certainly is not as flexible as it was.
Does it free up new patch storage spots that could be used to assign more modulation destinations to f.e. Velocity? In that case it would be worth it to sacrifice the flexibility. If not, then I'd say please leave it as it was...
Will it still take the "Modwheel Modulation Depth" into account?
