Ah yes, the 6 pin ISP socket. As mentioned earlier my Kiwisix is one of the earlier ones so doesnt have that socket, but I hadnt realised until I had bought that same ISP programmer made by said company in Bulgaria, so then I got their 10 pin JTAG version only to find out it wasnt compatible with the newer version of the software program I needed to use. But as they say, third time lucky and the final programmer I got worked perfectly once I had done a repair install of the software so that it could then pick up and install the drivers for it. I have returned the incompatible JTAG programmer, but to return the ISP programmer which I got from another online shop wasnt worthwhile due to return shipping costs so I will probably sell that on ebay sometime....we'll see. But yes its been a useful exercise and I learned quite a bit. :) So now onto the next project, haha.
Cheers for now
