I did some experiments with an audio probe
I definitely like the signal coming direct from the 2 voice boards.. It has the missing bass and noticeably louder. (not dramatically louder).. maybe 2-3 db more signal.. mostly in the bass.
and I get the same signal on all the signal-bearing pins of the volume pot
and i look at the 2 capacitors next to the volume pot and wonder if they need to exist at all...
i think the problem lives somewhere between the volume pot and the outputs

All that is wrong is that it doesn't go very loud. This narrows it down a bit I suppose to the volume control or final VCA. There could be a CEM3372 on it's own that's used as a final volume control

It says in the user manual I think about hot swapping jacks, but anyway, all I know is that sometimes manufacturers didn't bother to put the correct buffer circuits in that Curtis Electro Music specified or suggested to help protect the CEM chips from damage. I don't know if these protection circuits are in the Matrix 12 but I would guess they are. Because CEM chips are not very common any more I would be wary of hot swapping. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Somethings not quite right. It shouldn't be that quiet. I don't know if the volume is microprocessor controlled
Maybe some parts of the volume control circuitry have gone awry. Is it the same for all patches I take it
Has this been modded for individual output jacks, if so are these working OK
Try not to do any hot swapping. Power down before plugging any jacks in/out.
Your Juno works fine with your audio interface
No -10db, 0db, +4dB switches switched to the wrong thin anywhere
The answer could be something simple and because it's passing audio it might not be a very big problem to fix.
What's the history of this Matrix 12, was it working fine at one stage

I turned the juno way down to match the maximum volume of the matrix.

Those waveforms look terrible, both the Juno and the Matrix ones.
Like synced or something...
Turn the volume up and try bypassing any mixers if there was any.
This recording just seemed strange.
