I wasn't aware the Matrix 12 could do more than six notes -- the literature said you switched between the two Xpander units with a switch, which would imply that they were two machines packaged in the same box but with discrete polyphony.
Oh, I'm not grousing about the cost, just trying to justify it for my current setup.
