If you are on PC (or PC emulation on Mac) check out these Matrix
1000/6/6R editors:
http://www.mk2software.com/matrix/index.php
or
http://www.truefictions.net/technomusic.de/ob6000/
Both of these editors seem reasonably priced ($20) well supported and
actively developed with novel features not offered by the older
software in the users area here, the only drawback is you have to pay
for this software, and the software here is free....
If you can get hold of a copy (now discontinued) Emagic SoundDiver is
excellent, and Midiquest is also worth shecking out too -
https://vp3.netgate.net/~squest/
although to justify buying Midiquest
($299) over the programs above you would need to have a lot of other
synths to edit.
