I can't even figure out if there IS a newer prom. Mine is version 1.05
Someone that had a newer one could have it sucked into a file for
download, then anyone can burn it anywhere pretty much.
On the bright side, I figured out tonight that If you put the m6 into
"stereo" mode all of a sudden it will function perfectly as a midi
control surface. Why mono vs stereo matters so much, I haven't the
slightest idea. Thanks to MOTU Unisyn design folk for putting that tip
in a help file. Using the M6 to control other stuff takes some of the
sting out of having an analog synth I can't program easily.
so that fixes half my problem, the other unsolved half being uploading
patches. I either get timed out messages on synth responses, or
invalid header responses if I get tricky and try the midi thru port.
So few m6 keyboards are out there I figure I solve it myself or sell
it, hopefully someone proves me wrong and ends my agony :)
