Hi all
Here's a real geeky one for any matrix / atari / midi maestro's out there.
Just scored myself a mint matrix 6r and have been scouring the net for
the best editor for the beast. For usability my personal preference
is the Quinsoft editor (Matrix6.zip in the group files section)
running under Steem Atari emulator. Small problem though...
- it doesn't seem to handle bulk and patch dump requests correctly
with the matrix.
- other Atari editors like Dr T's no problem with bulk (so I know
system is working).
- Quinsoft does handle parameter editing fine on sysex
- For a bulk dump request Dr T's, which works, requests
F0 10 06 04 00 00 F7 (this is correct according to docs)
- Quinsoft requests F0 10 06 04 01 00 F7 which isn't correct for a bulk
- If I use Bolme's midi translator to correct then the matrix dumps ok
but Quinsoft prog doesn't receive it.
- The message is always "check the midi leads"
I can't see anywhere to edit the sysex commands in Quinsoft. I think
the program was never finished correctly. How geeky am I
Does anyone here use this proram successfully
It's got a great
layout and I'd love to use it.
Alternatively, does anyone use the encore knobby
How do you find it
Thanks for any geeky answers!!
Simon
