hi folks, im a fellow oberheim owner(ob-xa, matrix 12). just picked up a DSX sequencer, and am trying to figure out if its working properly.

when NOT connected to any synth, should it recognize any buttons when if turn it on, it just says "oberheim dsx" in the display, and the "stop" button is lit. pushing any other buttons does nothing.

i skimmed through the manual, and didnt see anything about it needing to be connected to a synth to function.(i dont have the 37 pin cable yet).

is this normal functioning thanks. looking forward to digging in to it!-rj
