i have an OB-Mx with all twelve voices and one with ten voices.
the complete one i got from Jack at Future Music in Los Angeles (Highland Park and Sunset Blvd. before that). he told me that there was a later batch of voice cards that were manufactured in Korea. for a while, these Korean guys kept bringing them in to him to sell.
he said that in his experience, the cards could be hit and miss in terms of their output levels matching. he said he'd work out the best matched set of cards for the OB-Mx that he shipped to me.
this was all years ago so, unfortunately, he hasn't had OB-Mx cards available in years.

It was sugested to me recently that the problems I'm experiencing may be caused by a mismatch of voice cards from different batches. I understand that those produced in an earlier batch may not match well with those from a later batch. If this is ringing any bells with other OB-Mx users I wondered if a swap might be an idea.
