Hi, I know there is a history of pitch mods here, I am looking for a really simple mod to globally increase the playback pitch of the sounds - if possible.

I did this to my TR-505 (from here: http://www.burnkit2600.com/tr-505/) with a 1k pot over R39 and like it.
