The power input jack may have a little oxidation. Try rolling up some fine grade sandpaper and rolling it around inside the jack to remove the tarnish from the connection. Also do the same to the central pin.
Also, are you using the right transformer
These are 12V with a
NEG.
center.
I've also had the power input jack come a little loose from the board and needed to be soldered back in place.
