The plot thickens! I've pulled the cover completely off and I've got two more wires on the back of the voicing board. One runs from pin 9 of IC11 to pin 9 of IC28, and the other runs from pin 10 of IC11 to pin 9 of IC31.
I realize I'm going to have to have a good hard look at the schematic here rather than get everyone else to do my homework for me, but as these things are a little over my head, if someone knows off the top of their head what this mod might be for, and whether it might be the one that's f***ing up the hand clap / tambourine signal, I'd appreciate the benefit of your background knowledge.
I'm tempted to just give those two wires a snip as my (de)soldering skills suck...
