I first posted here about 2 years ago, and have moved to Germany since and hope to get this thing going again.

I traded a Casio CZ-101 for this Roland TR-707 several years ago.   My friend said something was wrong with it and I hoped that I could fix it.  

I have purchased a 12v Neg tip, replacement power adapter and downloaded all of the manuals and service guides that I could find.   I tried to perform the reset, by holding down Track Write and Track 1 while powering up but, that hasn't fixed the problem.  

When I power up the 707, it automatically begins playing this strange pattern, and flashing LEDs randomly.   It also sounds as if distortion is being applied to most of the sounds, except for the crash and ride cymbals.   The tempo control is not working.

I am looking for help to see if this machine will function properly again.   Any suggestions are welcome.
