if you have a midi sequencer on your computer with a
drum editor (like cubase), you can import midifiles
for drums. there are quite a few around the internet.
or, drop any *.mid file on (cubase) and it will split
it into the part tracks; then you look for drum parts
on midi ch10. you can have a look there and copy what
you see to the x0x grid.
if you copy bars of this into a new arrangement,
you can export as midi. ;) i've done this to load patterns
into orion and midiplayers, works a treat.
there is a program for pc called robobop(i love!) which is
essnetially a virtual GM x0x drumbox. this can give you some
great ideas, although accents/velocity will be a bit different.
