I pick up this thread from a 2007's posting.

I am searching for detailled instructions on how to use standard EPROMs like 27C256 (or larger) instead of the HN61256. Can anyone tell, how to use the lines CE und CS which are intended for the 61256, when I use a 27C256. If I understand the Datasheet right, then the HN61256 does not have any kind of output enable. This means I should but !OE on the 27C256 to low always. Should I OR or AND the lines for !CE and !CS and route the combined signal to !CE on the 27C256
