There are a couple of pitch frequencies traces that require the chip to be unsoldered by a SMD rework station so that the necessarily pins can be isolated.I wish I could be more specific, the on e I did was over two years ago.I say this because with these 707's selling for a lot more, there's a bit more on the line if you damage a hard to find IC.But any web page that talks about how to mod this should include how to properly unsolder that main sounds IC in order to cut those traces that are underneath.I'm going to put a couple of links to my facebook page which shows a couple photos that may or may not help you all out.I know I'm about to upon myself up to questions. You are free to contact me via facebook, but I am uncertain if I'll remember all specific details.BTW... if you go to the Reverb.com site you may have seen a photo of a modded 707 and its sound samples being sold by Reverb. That is THIS drum machine that I worked for them. These photos I authorize anyone to use, but I would greatly appreciate i t that if you use any of these photos on a website, that you make it known that these photos were taken by "Daniel Feldstein of Danieldialatone"
