Regarding the pins, you might be using a wrong pins, I think the RIDE CYMBAL uses the 50Khtz clock into pin 3 of IC25 (4013)
So you might want to disconnect this one and send the clock there. You could use a LTC1799, if you don’t want to design your own board you could use the one from circuit bender https://www.circuitbenders.co.uk/forsale/LTC/LTCPCB.html
It’s important to have a trim and jumper as you are gonna have to fine tune your pitch setting.
