I don't really know what would cause this. First thing I would do is open the 707 and re-
connect the cables to the LCD board. It has its own PCB which gets signals from the CPU
board. At times the rats nest of PCB connectors can cause problems, and headers can
creep off after a while. Every eighth note of my Juno106 is off now, and there are dozens
and dozens of connectors in there...
Anyway, if you've never opened the 707 before, just proceed carefully and methodically.
Don't lose the screws! Once you unscrew the bottom cover, there is the main CPU and
voice PCB, which you'd need to carefully remove. Under this are the PCBs for panel
switches, faders and audio outputs, and the LCD. If this doesn't work, there may be a wire
which biases the LCD for a certain viewing angle, but I doubt it. Time for me to read the
service manual again!
