i also saw a reference somewhere to using a drum machine's tempo clock
to auto trigger sounds. the 24 ppq clock could be divided down to a
desired rhythmic division, and sent to the sound to trigger it. this
would be easy enough with analog sounds, but i don't know enough about
how the 707 tells the roms to play to figure it out here. maybe its as
simple as sending clock pulses to various places simultaneously

would be fun to have a rotary switch for the clock divide, and
switches to alternate between a sound's internal sequence and the
clock divide.
