Hey, just joined up.

I think I may have fried my 707. First problem was that only
the "second sound" in the grouped sounds would play, and both sounds
in the group would play that sound when triggered. That is, rimshot
and cowbell would both play cowbell, handclap and tamb. would both
play tamb., and so on for ALL grouped sounds.

Then, as I was screwing around with it some more, it crashed, and when
I restarted only the BD and HT will play. They are both pitched up
and scrambled sounding. Interestingly, when I sequence other sounds-
the "dead" ones - and then short out the ROM pins I do get some "bit-
scrambled" sounds which clearly contain at least pieces of "dead
sounds." So the chip's not totally fried.

You guys seem to know these machines really well, is there any chance
that I can save it Or is it dead for sure
