yeah, you should get crazy pitch effects. it will probably affect
other sounds as well, since they all use the same three clocks. other
parts of the circuit get those clocks too. i think this is how i
tested it out when i was first experimenting. i don't think you'll
really be able to tell if your clock is in the optimum range though.
