Yes, it should make for crazy effects! I know because I tested my 555 clocks prior to
disconnecting the originals from the gate array. I like "complex" clocks so I ended up
disconnecting the gate array signals and instead connecting a switch to the 555s
frequency modulation pins. Fun stuff.
