exponential envelopes
I think i saw this when i was looking at the HR-16
sounds. Instead of "normal" envelopes, each drum sound gets "sliced" into
segments, and each segment is close to full volume. (instead of gradually
fading) So they looked like sideways xmas trees instead of sideways cones.
Does that make sense
I assumed this was to reduce artifacts and noise. I know nothing of mu-law.
How do you make a custom sample have this same kind of envelope, so that it
will work with a drum machine's envelopes
You say you wrote your own VST plug-in
What other software do you use for
this kind of thing
