Ok, i'll see whether that is the problem. I'm scared of circuitry. I
opened it up when i first got it, and a spider skeleton fell out.

Another interesting thing i found is that the 'brrrt' noise that comes
out instead of the kick is INCREDIBLY loud, and moving the BD volume
slider around has absolutely no effect on the level at all. Only the
master volume makes any difference.

I have way too much stuff that needs fixing.
