Ya, i'm pretty sure the 505's panning works the same as the 707.
Different resistor values for each channel. I'd guess the only real
differences are a slightly different OS, the outputs/volume
controls (which i had to find myself on the 505), and the sample
data. I can't imagine there being many more differences. Same
goes for the 626 and 727.

My bandmate has a 707, and he's gonna do some mods, i think
i'll try modding the 505 at the same time so we can compare
notes.

No, i don't have the service manual for the 505. But i haven't
looked yet. Do you know where i can snatch one
