Nice work!
Sorta on-topic I was just thinking about doing this mod and I had a
question:
By overriding the internal clocks of the 707 with a continuously
variable 555 ckt for each voice, does this mean you're running each
voice asynchronously with the DAC enables (via the front-end mux)
I've only read over the schematics once, but it seems to me that by
reading out the ROM out of sync with the MUX'ed DAC, you are not just
changing the pitch of the sound, but also waveshaping a bit, too.
That could certainly sound cool (I need to listen to your MP3's).
Does this make sense
Am I missing something (like does the 707's
gate array take care of the sync)
Thanks!
