It's probably a dry joint or tiny tiny crack in the a track somewhere.
Check very carefully for dry joints and trace back the hihats from their
connector - you didn't say if you got hihats from their separate output.

At some point it will be as simple as a component or a track where the
signal goes in one end and doesn't come out the other! You could try
gently prodding the solder joints with a small screwdriver to see if
that gives you any clues.
