While in Song mode..

Hold down "Shift" and press "Sync mode" button 2 or 3 times until the display reads "Sync N" (as in N for NIDI lol)

I then put it into pattern write mode by holding down "Shift" and press "Pattern"

If this does not work, and your midi cable is fine and you have checked that your computer syncs other drum machines or bits of gear... then probably the Midi IN socket on your 707 has a dry joint (A common problem in 707's)

Open up your 707, and re-solder the connections on you midi sockets (Or get someone who knows what they are doing to do it for you)

This maybe seem elementry but I can't seem to get my 707 to sync with
a different external clock. I have gotten it to work as the external
clock and I have gotten my computer to sync to it but I can't seem to
get it to go the other way.

When I looked in the manual it seemed like it had to be in track play
which would suck considering the beats don't loop in track play, they
play to the end and stop.

Can anyone help me out of this cunundrum
