i'm getting ready to do the pitch mod again to my current 727 and it
occurs to me that it would be much more structurally secure to leave
the clock input pins connected to the board, and cut all the traces
that connect to them. the problem is, there are traces that connect
to the pins from under the ic.
there are 2 holes in the board at the ends of the clock pins. i'd
like to thread something through and up underneath the pins, and
then floss across the traces that go under the ic to cut through
them. but i don't know what to use. some kind of rough metal wire
would be really good. like rough fishing line or something. any
ideas
i'll post details when i get it done.
thanks,
greg
