So This

Die Band bestand von ca. 1983 bis ca. 1988 oder 89. Ueber mehrere Jahre hinweg war ich Hauptmitglied Keyboarder, Produzent und Co-Autor mehrer Stuecke. Alle Stuecke sind beim Double You Musikverlag, Muenchen - ausser Baltimore, Brass in Pocket und The Twilight Hour. Bei den Stuecken, die mit 1984 angegeben sind bin ich mir nicht sicher ueber das Entstehungsjahr; sie sind mir damals bekannt geworden und auch in den Verlag aufgenommen worden; natuerlich koennen Sie lange zuvor entstanden sein. "So This" was the band of the singer songwriter Brigitte Braune. The band existed from around 1983 until 1988 or 1989. For several  years I was a main member playing the keyboards, producing the recordings and also as co-author of several songs. All songs are at Double You Musikverlag, Munich with exception of the cover versions (see the list below). Regarding the date of the songs I have noted as 1984 I am not sure about the real creation date; I got knowledge of them in that year and were put on record of the GEMA. But in fact they may be created much longer before.
Leider habe ich Brigitte ca 2001 aus den Augen verloren. Im September 2005 habe ich durch Zufall im Jahresbericht der Gema des Jahres 2002 (Seite 11) eine Mitteilung gefunden: "Wir gedenken unserer verstorbenen Mitglieder [...], Brigitte Braune, [...]". Der ursprülich von mir vermutete Zusammenhang mit der Brigitte Braune, von der Fotos in einer Anthologie "DDR Frauen fotografieren" sind, erwies sich als falsch. Es handelt sich um unterschiedliche Personen (Danke an Herrn Schutt von dd-v.de). Sollte jemand noch mehr von Brigitte (sie ist ca. 1945 geboren worden) wissen, wuerde ich mich sehr darueber freuen, davon zu erfahren. Unfortunately I lost track of Brigitte in 2001. In September 2005 I found occasionally in the annual report of the GEMA 2002 (page) a note: "we commemorate our deceased members [...], Brigitte Braune, [...]". A relation to the photographer Birgitte Braune, who published pictures in the the anthology "DDR Frauen fotografieren", turned out to be false (Thanks to Mr. Schutt from dd-v.de). 	This is a photocopy of a picture which was painted by a friend of Brigitte on a t-shirt. Unfortunately I don't know the painter, and also I don't know what happend to this picture.
