Are you sure there's not just gain dialed up on the VCA of the A-100
system
As for your 606 and 101 problem, I used to get the same problem with
my SH-101. Be it that I was trying to trigger the sequencer from a
606, 808, 909, MAQ, or Schaltwerk, some notes would hang, some
wouldn't trigger. Some people would say that it may be due to the
purity of the clock signal coming from the drum machines, but that's
impossibe as the same problem occurs with different devices. It's
gotta be some defect in the SH-101 itself. But then again, over time,
the problem seemed to have corrected itself.
