I finally got in to the bloody thing. Its the second edition and there is a whole section in the chapter entitled "control voltage sources" around page 80 based on s/h type noodling. I got it from www.mhhe.com/primis/online
its a great book, but a shit website and a shit service, even Mr Strange himself was somewhat embarrassed when he gave me the link - not that it is any reflection on himself
.......and unfortunately for you I don't own a scanner!

to be honest I can't even access the "book" to check the source because it is a digital edition and my adobe reader insists that i am not the owner of the book and it has to access some f-ing microsoft .net passport site - which is down and keeps disconnecting me from the net - so I can tell this book on my own computer that I am who I say I am. I just wasted 20 minutes on it
so my advice is to keep looking for a photocopy - its ridiculous to buy a text under these kind of restrictions - I will never do it again
