That's strange. From the factory only A-188-1 modules without BBD circuits
are delivered without filled circles at the front panel. Where did you
purchase the module

The label "A-188-1 Version 2" on the pc board does not say anything about
the number of stages. These are determined by the BBD circuit that is used

I assume that there is no BBD circuit on the pc board and received a module
without BBD by mistake.

This affirms my assumption that you got an A-188-1 without BBD circuit.

Please contact the dealer where you purchased the module to clarify the
affair. Maybe they have sent you the wrong module.
