Yes, I agree. the module is useful without access to a Windows machine, PC.
It makes a great phrase sampler/ looper. Very quick to set the loop points, you can modulate the sample rate for cool effects etc...
In my opinion, the module is harder to use then the Blacet Miniwave,
but the ability to record your own wavetables is very exciting to me,
and definitely a step beyond what could be done with the miniwave.
I am still trying to get my head around creating a good wavetable from scratch. It involves sending a CV to the wave page control while recording in order to get a sound recorded onto a series of pages. I think there are alot of possibilities with this feature... possibilities that go beyond the Classic wavetable sounds (PPG, Miniwave etc...).
I think the module could also make a great CV source, though I have not had time to try this yet (just got mine).
The effects are cool sounding, but you will need a spare mixer and VCA to really make use of them. Still they do sound cool, and for those with larger system, I am sure a mixer and a VCA will be available. If you have a smaller system, I would not count on getting much use from the EFFECTs feature on the A-112.
