Yes, the module is usable without a PC.
You can record sounds striaght in using the audio in socket, the
effects and wavetable side is usable with a PC too. You only need the
software to upload 'edited' samples and proper wavetables.
I wonder if any other software works with the module
The samples are only upoaded by SysEx.
