Definitely, but standard for a lot of other systems (AS, EFM, ...)

The 120 and 121 are special, since the 120 was created as one of the
first modules, while the A-100 was only a testing balloon. All later
filters hagve similar layout.

I am planning this too, but for the far future.
You have to unsolder all pots/switches/plugs from the pcb. The pots and
switches can be used on the frontpanel; fixing is done by the screw
thread.
My favourite size is the one of the moog/ppg/formant modules.
