Vactrols have a fairly high range of tolerance and in a single batch their may be ones that respond quite differently than others in the same bag. Do both channels in the module respond the same The slewing in vactrols is part of their "charm" and won't be easily gotten away from I'm afraid but some do respond a lot faster than others, A great site on vactrols and even rolling your own is here -
