Since it would be potentially very useful to anyone with both Hz/V and Oct/V synths it would seem to make more sense as a stand-alone unit.
Kinda like the MS-02.
There's a schematic 1 available, and it doesn't look too complicated. Not sure what availability is like for the parts, but at least it doesn't have any curtis chips in it...
I'm about to bid on an old Hz/V synth myself, if I get it I will probably try to build something like that.
Or this Kenton card 2 might be an option.
Incidentally I would be interested to know what the tracking range is like when using a converter. I assume noise and errors will be exponentially amplified!
