I had a few questions about the Quantized Random Voltages Section of this module.
First:
The manual states that "N is an integer number in the range 1...6 that can be adjusted with the manual control (Man N) and an external control voltage CVN with attenuator."
The CV fed into the CV N in is triggered every time a clock signal is received, I've gleamed that much.
But how is the dial supposed to effect the output at N+1 when a cv is plugged in. I was expecting more or less audible modulation to the parameter but have yet to achieve this.
I have tried plugging in a sine, triangle, and saw wave into the CV N in and brought the CV N attenuator up and down and experience very little effect.
Can anyone think of a valid test for me to get familiar with how this is supposed to effect the output at N+1
Am I missing something
Second:
If a CV is plugged into the CV N is the Man N dial bypassed. This is what I was expecting, but the Man N dial seems to adjust the octaves where the random notes fall. even when a CV is plugged into the CV N in.
So does this mean the CV N in and the Man N are summed
Thanks for any clarity with this.
