What are you trying to do If you're trying to play notes on the DX-7 and record them on the MC-4, then yes, that should work using the MCV-4 or A-192-2 to convert them. I haven't tried this, but the Yamaha and Doepfer devices both use the MIDI standard very well, and the Doepfer and Roland ones use the 1V/Oct standard very well, so it should work fine.
