Yes, I'm trying to use the MC-4 to sequence notes on the DX7, and record them from the DX7 output (the same way you'd connect an analog monosynth with the MC-4, but without the converter in between).
But the MCV-4 and the A-192-2 convert in different directions, only one-way each. For instance, the MCV-4 is MIDI to CV, and the A-192-2 is CV-MIDI.
I'd guess the A-192-2 would work in this case, right

I haven't tried this, but the Yamaha and Doepfer devices both use the MIDI standard very well, and the Doepfer and Roland ones use the 1V/Oct standard very well, so it should work fine.
