hi florian, i totally agree with you here. what you are basically
describing here is the modular Emu sequencer system. for those of you
who need a better understanding, please check out the following url.

this is the most flexible system, that can tailored to your needs.
i wish for this to become a reality, because the chances of finding
an Emu sequencing are slim to nil and forget about the asking price.
to talk about this idea, i mentioned in the Touch Sequencer Keyboard
poll, about a module that was basically the SH101 sequencer and
arpeggiator. where you could control it from the touch keyboard. in a
system as the one you mentioned, dave`s system and the Emu system,
you could bring all these concepts together and have all the
modularity in the world without constraints or locked into a format
by having several of these building blocks put together into a single
module. a lot of my ideas and features for the Touch Sequencer
Keyboard were based on the Emu sequencer system, the Serge TKB and
the Buchla Marf and model 246 sequencer.
thanks for mentioning this option to the group. it is, indeed, a very
powerful system for sequencing.
i would like to see the proposed A154 include the features from the
DAB 1004 and DAB 1005 Address Genenrators combined the features of
the DAB 350 VC Clock. this might be a tall order to fill but it`s
worth taking a kick at the can. i will show you a photoshop version
what i have in mind tomorrow.
