It seemed that I overrated the actually manufacturing by Doepfer in this
globalized world. So I seems a bit trickier to manufacture kits. And I fully
understand the problem with secondhand kits that people sell as genuin
Doepfer gear. Technically speaking that isn't not the responsiblity of
Doepfer and no matter how rude they act such claims should be ignored. But
that aside I understand that Doepfer doesn't want that to happend anyway
cause it is always not worth it to keep fending off morons. So I fully
understand that Doepfer don't want to make kits. I wonder how the other
brands that sell kits deals with theese problems:/
Kevins ideas for nologo panels could perhaps help a bit as could could pcbs
without logos, but I suspect some scoundrels might try to sell them as the
real thing too. And also customizing the parts for DIYkits would make them
more expensive due to smaller series. So it seems to me that there is sort
of a dead end here. A shame, but one I can live with since I am probably a
guy that would make a module od the "electronic garden style" ;)
So even though I'd like to try a kit just for the education about it I'd
rather buy an attenuator module!
