Subject: Re: Blown fuse again!
Hi Tim,
With both cases I had the new modules connected to
the bus.
The fuse of the first case, must have been blown,
due to an overload situation (I had to many gear on
one socket).
By that time I had brought back the first case
to Music house in Utrecht (netherlands) and swopped
that for a new one.
The same happened with the second case, then I
relieved the overload and I had a save situation again.
This afternoon, after work, I bought two T100ma fuses.
Now, with the overload being rid off, I shouldn't
experience any problems anymore, right!
Both fuses blew immediately, which led me to the
conclusion, that something else was wrong!
I checked, yes I had all the modules connected with
the red stripe on the ribbon at the bottom.
Yes, in the second case the second connector on the
bus board has the first two pins slightly sticking
outside. I remember the trouble I had to stick it in!
But can one wrong connection on the bus board led
to an immediately blown fuse
Yes, I tested the modules in an other working case,
all were fine.
Believe I already have set the wheels in motion.
Phoned with Utrecht. Last friday they should have
checked the case and hopefully they can tell what's
wrong with it.
I send Bakis a mail and he immediately send one
to Doepfer and simultaneously I had done the same!
And this evening I got an answer from Dieter himself,
which I have anwsered before I made this posting.
I explained the whole situation and I know I'm anxiously
waiting his answers.
Thanks for your interest.
Roel.
