Hi Dustin
this is a good point
I have found the following solution for my own setup: I use a normal 2 x 24
jack/jack format patchbay (such as the neutrik, fostex or behringer version)
and I made quite a couple of 3,5 mm to jack cords
because I also use a minimoog voyager (lots of ins/outs) and the VX351
expander, all with normal format jacks and this enables me to interface them
directly (I have connected the moog ins/outs with multicables to the
backside of a part of the patchbay, enabling me to make a direct connection
to all inputs/outputs on the doepfer system and vice versa
this is very workable solution, only thing is that you are good at soldering
and use quality materials
I think it would make sense if doepfer asked her manufacturer to produce
molded 3,5 mm <-> jack cords in different sizes and colours....
there is another solution, but this is not available yet
I am working on the design and build of a matrix/patch module for the
doepfer and this should enable you to interface with external gear ánd patch
several doepfer inputs/outputs at once
as soon as I have this idea worked out I will post it to the list as
promised a couple of days ago
eric
