The Ion actually has four outs. It is four part multi-timbral so you
can send each of the 4 parts to it's own out. For each part you can
send just the of 1, 2, or all 3 oscillators. The mix amount is also
a modulation destination.

Thanks for pointing that out. I will probably start with the mcv4.

The Ion OB filters are SEM copycats, not Matrix 12 which I thought
the Doepfer is modeled after.

Some others have also pointed that out. For a Pro5 type filter I
will be looking for something with the earlier 2040 chip.
