You simply wont have exausted all your possibilities with other companies kits yet - both efm and cgs do small enough pcbs that
mounting isnt an issue, and the 5u crowd, oakley, motm, etc.etc. can be mounted horizantaly if you have enough depth in your case.
But, yes, doepfer kits would be fun too. In order to preserve the second hand value of the existing a100 systems, the kits would
surely have to at least have a different screen on the pcbs Would they work out much cheaper (if thats your motivation) Once the
parts are sourced, bagged, packed, instructions, etc.etc. the only cost left out is the labour of soldering, against the additional
cost of having two product lines. Would the cost be much lower
Im not condemming the idea. If doepfer kits were availible, id probably buy a few at the right price, but, hey, as i said before,
there are plenty of other companies out there selling DIY stuff.
