The SSM2040 was used in the Cat SRM - Series Revision Model and is not the original
design. I'm trying to find out what filter was used in the original Cat. The 1st Cat
sounded very different then the SRM and SRMII.
From Blue Synth -
"The first revision SRM employed a SSM2040 (REV-1 Prophet5) filter chip, but this was
then later replaced with the SSM2044 (Polysix)."
Thanks,
Andrew
