It shouldn't be called a CAT filter then. The SSM2040 is one of my favorite
filters, but it is used in many things. Probably best known for the Prophet
5 or Octave Voyetra 8. The never released E-mu Audity used it and later
E-mu modulars, and the Symetrix Phase filter:

MOTM has done a wonderful clone of the lowpass part, and my impression is
that this was a hell of a lot of work and research to get even that part
right.

A full clone of the 2040 would be great, but I don't see it happening from
Doepfer anyway. The amount of R&D to get it right would be too much. This
chip has so many possiblities/modes.
